Privacy Policy

Fishing Club AI ("the App") is operated by Codersnap LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed the App to work without an account: you are identified only by a random device identifier, never by name or email.

Information we collect

• Device identifier. A random identifier (UUID) generated on your device. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
• Location. With your permission, your approximate or precise location is used to show the map, compute BiteScore forecasts, find nearby spots and shops, and give the AI assistant local context. Location is processed per request and is not used to build a movement history.
• Photos you submit. Photos you choose to attach (e.g. for fish identification or catch reports) are uploaded to process your request. Never your photo library as a whole.
• Content you share. Catch reports, comments and profile details you post to the community feed.
• Uploaded photos. Location metadata (EXIF/GPS) is removed from photos on upload, so a shared catch photo does not reveal your exact coordinates.
• Assistant questions. The questions you type to the AI fishing assistant (not the answers) are stored, linked to your device identifier, to improve answer quality and understand what anglers ask. They are deleted automatically after 12 months.
• Purchase status. Whether your device has an active Pro subscription (via Apple and RevenueCat). We never see your payment details.
• Usage analytics. Anonymous in-app events (e.g. "map opened") tied to the device identifier, used to improve the App.

How we use information

• Provide App features: forecasts, maps, assistant answers, fish ID, shops, community feed.
• Enforce subscription entitlements and free-usage limits.
• Debug problems and improve features.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Service providers

Parts of the App are powered by third parties that process data on our behalf:

• Apple — payments and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — subscription status processing.
• Superwall — paywall display and purchase analytics.
• OpenAI — processing of assistant questions and fish-ID photos to generate answers. Inputs are processed to serve your request and are subject to OpenAI's API data policies.
• Weather, marine and map data providers — receive coordinates to return conditions and tiles for your area.
• Cloudflare / hosting providers — network delivery and server infrastructure.

This website: cookies and analytics

The pages on fishingclubai.com are static and readable without accounts, tracking pixels or advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand which guides people find useful — pages viewed, approximate location, device type and referring site. That is the only cookie-setting service on the website.

Nothing loads until you choose. On your first visit a banner asks whether to allow analytics. If you decline, or simply ignore it, no Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. If you accept, your choice is remembered in your browser so the banner is not shown again. To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask once more.

The interactive map on the homepage loads map tiles from our map provider when you scroll to it, which involves a request to their servers. We do not send them any information about you beyond what any web request requires.

Data retention

Community content remains until you delete it or ask us to remove it. Operational data (entitlements, usage counters, analytics) is kept only as long as needed to run the service. Fish-ID photos are processed to answer your request and are not used to train our own models.

Your choices and rights

• You can revoke location and camera/photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings; related features stop working but the rest of the App remains usable.
• You can request deletion of the data linked to your device identifier (including community posts) by contacting us. See Data Deletion.
• Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/KVKK), you may have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
